What is TOFA.AF?
TOFA.AF
is a new service created by an Afghan American, an Afghan French and with the
support of USAID to help Afghans living outside of Afghanistan to send gifts
and services to their loved ones living in Afghanistan. Essentially Tofa.af will carry your
sentiments and well wishes to the people that you care about in Afghanistan. Tofa.af will only deliver the highest
quality gift products and will provide western styled customer service to its
clients.
Tofa.af is a partnership by Afghanistan Demain
(Afghanistan of Tomorrow) and Digistan an Information Technology Company in
Kabul. Tofa.af is established with complete belief
that peace can be established by giving people jobs and economic stability. Tofa.af
creates jobs and opportunities for the young, especially those perpetually
mired in the lower economic and social strata.
Employees of Tofa.af are young men and women who have
lost their parents or who are economically deprived. Profits of Tofa.af are used to run shelters
and schools for homeless and orphaned kids.
Is your website secure?
We
get this question a lot. Dear Friends,
just because the website serves Afghanistan does not mean it is insecure.
Yes Tofa.af is 100% Secure. Our site uses the latest SSL technology and
encryption to support secure on-line transactions. All our credit card transactions are handled
by CCNOW, one of the leading merchant services in the world. The
website is hosted in USA.
All information provided by our valued customers on the
Tofa.af website for registration as well as online purchase is treated as
strictly confidential.
What are the ordering procedures?
1. Register
Yourself
In order to place an order on TOFA.AF, you have to be
a registered user. The registration option appears on top of our home page. Just
click on “Register” and complete the easy registration. Credit card information
is not necessary to register. An email
with your user id and password will be sent to you. If you are already registered with TOFA.AF
enter your "user name" and "password" to login. A registered user can have an address book of
those individuals whom the user has sent a gift to or would want to send gifts
to them. Even if you forget your password, click “forgot password” option and
we will send you a new password in the email address provided to us during
registration.
You don't need to be logged in to just browse through the various gifts and
services. However, you will be prompted to register or sign in when you select
any item to be added to your gift cart.
Be assured that Tofa.af will
not share any of your registration information with any third parties.
2. Select a Gift
Selecting a gift is
easy. You have 3 ways of finding what
you are looking for quickly:
By
using the search option on the top left hand side of the home page. Just enter part of the gift name and Tofa.af
will list out all the matching products in the middle section of the home page.
By
selecting one of the product categories from the left side of the home page. Selecting a category will show you the gift
packages in the middle of section of the home page. Clicking on any gift package will give you
all the products that Tofa.af has organized under that category.
By selecting of the Gift Occasions
listed on top of the home page, right below the banner. Selecting a category will show you the gift
packages in the middle of section of the home page. Clicking on any gift package will give you
all the products that Tofa.af has organized for that
occasions.
If you need to see more
details just click on “More Details” or click on the image of the product. Once you have found your desired gift, click
on “Add to Cart”. At this point, you
can look around more and add more things to your gift cart.
3. Select a
Gift Receiver
Once you have selected your gift, you will be prompted
to select your Gift Receiver. This is
where you can select from your own Gift Receiver list or choose Anonymous.
To add to your Gift Receiver
list you will at a minimum need the person’s name, father’s name, contact
number and their address and neighborhood where they live in a city. As you can
understand, Afghanistan does not have defined addresses as we accustomed to in
the West so the more information you can provide the faster we can find your
loved ones.
If you have already
registered this gift receiver, you don’t need to register him/her again, just
select the name from your list of contacts.
Please be sure that his/her information is updated by you.
By selecting Anonymous, you
are asking Tofa.af to select a needy student or family on your behalf. Tofa.af is connected with the most trusted
organizations to determine the right persons for you. You will receive their bios and pictures once
the gift has been delivered to them.
4. Go to
Checkout
Once you have selected your Gift Receiver, you are
ready Checkout which will transfer the session to our partner merchant provider
CCNOW.

What is the Pricing Currency?
The
pricing of the items are in US Dollars. However, to comply with the laws in
Afghanistan, all transactions within Afghanistan will be conducted using
Afghani currency. The Exchange rate will
change on a daily basis according to market rates. Please send us an inquiry for the latest

What are the payment methods?
International Orders (Orders from outside Afghanistan to be delivered within
Afghanistan):
1. Credit Card: We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Card. Our payment
processing company is Authorize.net on whose secure server you will be
transferred to when you select the credit card payment option. All transactions
are processed securely in their server itself. Hence, you won't have to worry
about your credit card number being hacked.
2. Checking and Savings Accounts: This
option is only available for checking and savings accounts based in USA. You can specify your account and your bank
ABA on TOFA. The funds will be drawn
directly from the account. This option is known as ACH.
How do I find out the status of
my current and past orders?
To find out the status of your present order, logon using your registration id
and password and then click on “Track My Order” . Here you will be able to see exactly what
the status of your order is. Order
Dispatchers and Field Agents continuously update the status of all orders. This chart will give you the details of your
order and will show the stage of order processing under the column of
"Status". When the order has been received and is ready for delivery,
it will show "Acknowledged and In Process" and when the item gets
delivered, it will show "Delivered".
You will also be getting an
automatic email when a significant step in your order has been completed.
Where do you deliver?
TOFA.AF delivers to the following cities:
Kabul
and Cities near Kabul.
Tofa.af
will quickly expand its services to the major cities around Afghanistan.
We will deliver your order to any location within Kabul
or areas within reach of Kabul.
Different charges will apply depending on the distance of the location
from Kabul. When you complete the
order, you will be asked to select a “neighborhood”. If you don’t see the neighborhood, please select
“not listed” and give us the name of the neighborhood in the “Special
Instructions” Section. TOFA will charge
you an average delivery charge and will email you if adjustments will be
required.
What are the delivery
charges?
Delivery charges are based on the weight, volume and nature of the product as
well as the destination of delivery. Delivery
of heavy items such as TV, Refrigerators, wood and flour can be made either
through Courier or through using a truck.
Where is my order now?
To check your order status, just click on the Login link
at the top of the page, sign in and then click on “Track My Order”
New Order
means you have just placed an order and is waiting to be
processed.

means your order could be at any point between the warehouse receiving it and dispatching
your goods.
Cancelled
means your order has been cancelled either by you or us.
If you find that your order has only been partially delivered, this may be
because other items are being dispatched from a different location. However, if
your order is obviously incomplete, over-delivered or damaged, or if you wish
to change or cancel your order, please email or call us.
Can you deliver same day or
next day?
We should receive an order for same day delivery before
10AM Afghanistan time.
Orders for Fridays must be placed on Thursday before 2:00
PM Afghanistan Time otherwise orders will be dispatched on Saturday.

Shipping Address?
Billing address is the address where the bills go to for
the credit card you are using for your purchases.
Shipping address is an address of the person to who you
want to send a gift or where you want the delivery of a gift.
What do you deliver?
Tofa.af
is a gift delivery service in Afghanistan, especially designed for those who
live outside of Afghanistan. You can send a variety of wonderful gift that
range from sentimental to life’s necessities to every day home appliances. You can also extend a helping hand by sending
school supplies, food rations and blankets for those who are in need of your
assistance.
Where do you
procure your gifts?
Tofa.af
procures its gifts only from
well-known & reputable suppliers in Afghanistan. Tofa.af has a network of
vendors throughout Afghanistan who provide us with highest quality of products
and services in Afghanistan.
How do you deliver?
All
of products are delivered in person by our own trained field agents. We believe in superior customer service and
personally handle every single order.
Tofa.af also documents the delivery with a short video
and will obtain signatures upon each delivery.
Will the gifts
look exactly the same as given in the picture?
We
at Tofa.af make an effort to provide gifts as shown and described on the web
site. However, the appearance & taste of perishables on our product list
may vary slightly due to the preparation process in each city, regional
availability and seasons.
Are the gifts
wrapped?
Cakes
and flower boxes are packaged in decorated boxes or baskets. Flowers are neatly wrapped in cellophane
Trimmings (net & ribbons) are added to give an elegant touch. The rest of
the gift items i.e. fragrances; stuffed toys etc. are delivered in Tofa.af
boxes carrying the Tofa logo.
Can I write my
message on the delivery?
Yes
you can. You can add your own personal
message on the order when you checkout in CCNOW in the Shipping Address.
What are your
delivery timings?
Standard
delivery hours to most locations are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Kabul time.
Delivery hours may vary slightly at remote locations.
Do you deliver
on holidays?
We
make deliveries on holidays in some of the cities. If a delivery cannot be made on the Holiday,
an email will be sent to you to give early notification.
Is it possible
to deliver on a particular time?
At
this time we cannot pre-arrange the time of delivery but we will try if you
give us an indication at least 24 hours in advance.
What will I be
charged? / What are your service charges?
There
are no hidden costs. You would be charged exactly the price that is quoted
under each gift plus the delivery charge.
This price includes our product, packaging, personal delivery charges,
video, receipts and any other incidental charges.
How do I make
the payment?
Payments
are accepted through credit cards and electronic account debits. CCNOW is the Tofa.af Credit Card processor.
What are the
advantages of being a registered member?
Once
you are a registered member, you would have a personal address book where you
can save the addresses of your gift receivers and while placing the order you
could select that particular contact from the list and our system would
complete the details for you. We also offer reminder services to our registered
members You could send yourself a reminder email on a date of your choice prior
to a special occasion like a birthday, anniversary etc.
What is the
advantage of an address book?
It
eliminates the need to provide receiver information repeatedly. You could save
the names and addresses of friends and family, which would simplify the order “checkout” process for you.
Also, the first time that Tofa.af goes to the gift
receiver’s location, we will register the exact coordinates of the location via
GPS. You will be able to plug the GPS coordinator
into Google Earth and see where the gift was delivered! But this will also help us deliver your gift
quickly and efficiently next time around.
Is there a way
to edit my personal information and address book?
Yes.
You can edit your personal information. Click on ‘My Account’ on the navigation
bar on the top of every page and select ‘Edit Profile’ from the list.
What do I do
if I have forgotten my password?
If
you have forgotten your password, please click on forgot password on ‘My
Account’ on the top navigation bar. Just insert the email address through which
you registered and the password would be sent to your inbox immediately through
a system generated email.
Is it possible

Why is my email address required?
Once
you place your order, your order number will be sent to you on your given email
address through a system generated email.
Where can I
enter special instructions?
Special
instructions can be added during the order “Checkout” process in the Shipping
Address area in CCNOW.
How do I know
you have received my order?
As
soon as you have booked your order, you would receive an auto-generated email
confirming it. It will have an order number through which you would be able to
track your order.
What happens if the recipient is not available at home/delivery
address?
Tofa.af
will call and set up an appointment with the gift receiver before going to the
address. If at the time of the
appointment the gift receiver is not available (meaning he does not show up)
Tofa.af will make a second attempt of calling and setting up another
appointment. Perishable and edible
gifts must be delivered once the gift is ready and cannot be delayed. Since these products have a limited
durability, any degradation in the quality of the product is the responsibility
of the gift receiver.
After coordinating with the recipient, our courier will
make a second attempt. Tofa.af will make two attempts, after which the
recipient is given the option to pick up the gift from the Tofa.af Head Office.
In case, the recipient does not pick up
the gift by the end of the day, the gift is disposed off.
An order attempted but not delivered at the end of the day is not attempted the
following day. If it is attempted, it is treated as a separate order
